We provide a free, confidential drop in service for anyone affected by cancer. This includes people who:• need information about cancer;• have a cancer diagnosis;• are living with and beyond cancer;• are looking to reduce the risks of cancer;• are a relative, carer or friend of someone with cancer; or• are healthcare professionals   We hold a wide range of information on all aspects of living with cancer and we provide the opportunity to discuss treatments, side effects, money worries, questions about benefits and other cancer related issues with our team.You can come and see us face to face in any of our three centres, or we can arrange to see people on our hospital wards. We also give information and support over the phone and by email for those who can’t access the service in person.We work closely with the clinical teams as well as with local services, support groups and other organisations.   We also offer Video Advice sessions using NHS Attend Anywhere

Provides information and support to adults affected by cancer either directly with a current or previous diagnosis of cancer. This can be from diagnosis, through treatment and for those people who suffer the long term consequences of treatment. We undertake holistic needs assessments to identify the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs, develop a care plan with the person and provide ongoing support. We are social prescribers working collaboratively with many agencies to meet the needs of our service users. We have two support groups: General support group on the 1st Monday of each month Carers support group 1st Tuesday of each month. We can signpost onto cancer specific support groups too. Outreach points are Parbold Surgery 1st Wednesday of the month 9.30-11.30 North Meols Medical centre banks, 2nd Wednesday of the month Tarleton Health Centre Last Friday of the month 9.30-11.30 Provide literature and internet access on all aspects of living with cancer including travel and work issues. The opportunity to talk to someone in a friendly non clinical environment. Help with accessing financial advice and grants. Information about practical help which is available. Free confidential drop in service for anyone affected by cancer. This includes people who reguire information about cancer, have a cnacer diagnosis, are living with the consequences of a cancer diagnosis, are living with and beyond cancer, are looking to reduce their risk of cancer, are a carer relative friend of someone with cancer, are health & social care professionals. A care plan is developed following a physical, psychological, social and spiritual assessment. We aim to provide a safe, welcoming environment for those who are experiencing social isolation because of their cancer diagnosis.

Christians Against Poverty offer a free debt help service in Leyland which is tailored to your particular finances and needs.  We are an impartial service open to anyone regardless of faith, race or gender.  We work closely with you as we help you onto the best route out of debt for your personal circumstances.  CAP can take you from where you are now until you are completely debt free, managing your creditors in the meantime.  We have a friendly local team who are keen to support you on your journey.  Usually we work with face to face appointments, but we’re able to be flexible in the current circumstances.  CAP has a dedicated free-phone number for new referrals with the New Enquiries Team on 0800 328 0006.  This phone line is open 9.30am-5pm Monday to Friday and is the way to access our local service.  Christians Against Poverty was born to bring about sustained poverty relief through debt counselling, financial education and back to work programs. CAP’s unique personal approach means that people can be supported every step of the way to help themselves out of debt, poverty, and their causes. Our Housing Solutions Team’s role is to make sure there is access to a range of good quality housing in Chorley, which includes providing services for local people. The team supports all households with access to social housing via the Selectmove Choice Based Lettings scheme working in partnership with social landlords. The team will assist those households threatened with homelessness to either remain in their current accommodation or move into more suitable. If there is a threat of homelessness you should make a referral through www.housingjigsaw.co.uk The team will work with households to support them to establish their housing options and will provide support and advice on tenancy law in the private and social housing sector in order to prevent homelessness. They will offer advice and support with the court process to prevent evictions, help to access private sector housing including the provision of bonds help with mortgage advice, personal budgeting and also help to access housing related support including accommodation which includes Cotswold Supported Housing and resettlement housing support. Initial contact within 1 working day of receipt of referral.
